Frieze London 2025
On 16 October, A2Z attended Frieze London 2025, taking over Regent’s Park just as autumn leaves began to fall. The visit began at Frieze London, a vibrant showcase of contemporary works from emerging artists and galleries — from striking paintings to large-scale installations. The fair’s vast layout never felt overwhelming; each gallery’s distinct curation and energy created a seamless flow that made time disappear.

Among the many works that stood out were Roberto de Pinto’s Un chant d'amour (Galleria Massimo Minini), Toby Cato’s bold paintings at Harlesden High Street, and Rose English’s expressive photography at Richard Saltoun Gallery — each experimental, daring, and perfectly in tune with today’s creative pulse.

A short walk away, Frieze Masters offered a contrasting atmosphere — calm, reflective, and steeped in history. Focused on modern and pre-21st-century art, the space invited a slower, more contemplative viewing experience. Vivid works such as David Hockney’s Gregory in the Pool and Christopher Wood’s Nude with Yachts drew particular attention, radiating both colour and nostalgia.

Beyond the art itself, what stood out most was the shared energy — the way visitors, collectors, and artists alike came together to experience creativity in all its forms. This year’s Frieze felt like a living dialogue between past and present, a vivid reflection of where the art world stands today.
