Meanwhile, Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Voice of Hind Rajab received the Grand Jury Prize, a recognition that underscored both its artistic strength and emotional impact. The film, set against the backdrop of Gaza, follows the harrowing true story of a young girl caught in the chaos of war. Its premiere left the Venice audience deeply moved, culminating in a 22-minute standing ovation — one of the longest in the festival’s history

The Special Jury Prize went to Below the Clouds by Gianfranco Rosi, a deeply contemplative Italian film. While some critics questioned whether its slow, observational style would resonate with audiences, the jury saw a profound poetic quality in its storytelling, rewarding the film for its patient, immersive approach to cinema.
